Black History Month: a conversation with Henry Golatt

A conversation with Henry Golatt

During February, our team is celebrating Black History month in conversation with our partners about programs and issues affecting the Black community.

This week, as we focus on economic engagement in the region, Eddie Pauline, director of economic engagement in Ohio State’s Corporate Engagement Office, talks with Henry Golatt, small business concierge with the City of Columbus.

Using his more than 20 years of experience in business, Henry championed and is now providing leadership for the city’s efforts to reimagine itself in the small business ecosystem through its Small Business Agenda. An important focus of this work is providing access to resources and capital for People of Color and women, while ensuring small business can thrive in underserved neighborhoods.

Here, Henry talks with Eddie about why it’s important that we focus this work on Black entrepreneurs in the region and what success will look like.
