EDDIE PAULINE

Director, Economic Engagement

 

Eddie Pauline serves as the Director of Economic Engagement for The Ohio State University's Corporate Engagement Office. In his role, Eddie leads the office’s Economic Development function, supporting business retention, expansion and attraction efforts in partnership with local and statewide economic development partners. These efforts drive new opportunities to University faculty, staff and students in the form of strategic partnerships and help enhance Ohio State’s overall economic impact to the State of Ohio which currently stands at more than $15 billion.

Prior to this role, Eddie served as the founding Director of Ohio State's Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program (BLF), Ohio State’s premier student leadership program. As Director, Eddie worked to build a board of advisors to secure over two million dollars in private financial support for the program. Prior to coming to Ohio State in 2010, he worked in the digital media industry for startups and large media corporations primarily in Seattle and New York, where he was part of the team that led the successful acquisition of Scout.com to Fox Interactive Media. He held positions at FoxSports.com, Fantasy Sports Ventures (acquired by Gannett) and ASmallWorld.com, where he was Director of North American sales.

Eddie is active in the community. He currently serves on the City of Worthington’s Community Relations Commission, the Foundation Board of the Worthington Library and the property committee of St. John’s Church in Worthington. He has made periodic attempts to be a good coach for Worthington Youth Booster’s soccer, flag football and basketball teams. He is a graduate of Leadership Columbus and currently serves on its Board of Trustees as Vice Chair. Eddie also serves on the board and is a Lifetime Member of the Columbus Metropolitan Club. He is a member of the Columbus Downtown Rotary and serves on the board of the International Visitors Council and the Central Ohio Leadership Academy. Eddie was recently admitted into the Association of Ohio Commodores. The association supports the State of Ohio in its advancement in all areas contributing to the economic growth and development of the State, and the greater prosperity of its citizens.

Eddie holds a B.A. and a B.S. from The Ohio State University, where he served as student government president for two consecutive terms. He earned an M.B.A. in Finance from Franklin University. Eddie, his wife Lindsey, two sons and daughter, Edward, Charles and Estella, live in Worthington, Ohio.
