IGS Energy hosts first Career Trek of the year

IGS Energy Hosted The Ohio State University’s first Career Trek of 2023. It was organized by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion through their Career Readiness Initiatives and Special Programming (CRISP).

Career Treks provide opportunities for students to visit companies and organizations that are leading the way in their fields of study. Students toured the IGS Energy facility, attended a workshop on Conscious Capitalism, and made meaningful connections with professionals who are excelling in their careers. One of the key themes was “bring your whole self to work.” This exemplifies how IGS Energy fosters an environment that promotes diversity and creates a space for employees to be themselves.

“When you work for an organization that is honest, caring, and accommodating, you want to share about it with other people,” said Arhana Kolli, human resources coordinator for IGS Energy. “As a recent OSU graduate and ODI student, I was just in these students’ shoes. It felt special to be able to give back to them and show them a DEI-focused employer in our community.”

Each student was gifted a copy of StrengthsFinder 2.0 and had the opportunity to take the quiz with mentors from IGS Energy to discover their strengths and learn how to best leverage them for their futures.
